Hosted Exchange 2007 Development & Testing
We have been designing, developing and testing an integrated
Hosted Exchange solution for our existing platform and
services. We will be launching the best Hosted Exchange
service available today, packed with new features. You will
also be able to bolt on additional services such as Email Archival,
BlackBerry and Windows Mobile support, and the integration of
Windows SharePoint Service 3.0.
Existing customers will experience limited downtime
and scheduled maintenance during the technical
development. With ~40,000 mailboxes currently, this is a
challenging yet important aim.
We have invested many months of design and analysis time in
order to ensure our new platform offers security, flexibility,
reliability and scalability at all times for thousands of
users and connections.
The Approach we are Taking
We have a dedicated Innovation Team for the ongoing development
and testing of all solutions. We begin with proof of concept
testing in our lab and quickly roll technology out to our internal
users for testing. Ongoing development and testing of the
solution architecture continues within our Innovation Team
until we are ready to build the production solution in our
data centre. The production build and configuration is
undertaken by our Operations Team to ensure knowledge and support
across the operational teams within Cobweb.
We have continued to partner with and deploy industry leading
solutions from HP and EMC. We have also worked with other
leading hosting providers in the US and Europe to share knowledge
and ensure best practice.
A Forward Looking Platform for CRM 4.0, WSS 3.0 & Unified
Messaging
Our Hosted exchange 2007 platform will form the basis of all new
service launches from Cobweb during 2008 and beyond. It is
planned to launch Windows SharePoint Service 3.0 , Microsoft CRM
4.0, Exchange Unified Messaging and Office Communications
Server and further business services , all sharing the same user
authentication and administration systems.
