ISO27001
A standard which has been internationally recognized as a way to protect businesses in both IT Security and Business Continuity is ISO 27001. This standard unfortunately is incredibly difficult to attain and in the recent Information Security Breach Survey it was found that only 11% of businesses that were surveyed have implemented the standard.

This ISO 27001 standard ensures that the holder of the accreditation has mitigated risks as much as possible and that every element of the service from the firewalls at the front end of the data storage through to the data backups that take place each day is kept as safely and securely as is possible.
Risk Assessments
Full risk assessments are carried out across all customer facing services delivered. Other assessments will also include the network, the physical security of the buildings and also internal systems used.
Backups
Customer data is backed up on a daily, weekly and monthly basis. This means that we always have an up to date copy of any business critical data.
Off site
All data that is backed up is stored off site so we have two copies of the data; one stored in a secure data centre and one within a secure storage facility. If something happens to one, no problem, we have another copy.
From your perspective if something ever happened to your premises then your data isn’t stored there, so all you need is a temporary office, an internet connection and then you have full access to the information again.

Patching
All our servers are patched using Microsoft best practise. This ensures that the latest patches are tested and applied to systems as soon as possible. Critical patch releases can be turned round in some cases within around 24hrs!
Access Control
Access to any of our secure working areas is strictly controlled. The minimal people that need to have access do. All customer facing services are housed within a tier 3 data centre. This means that some of the highest level of security possible to protect the servers is in place.
Personnel Security
All staff that are in key positions or have access to confidential data are security screened prior to starting work with Cobweb. This is to ensure that our customer data is protected even when new people start within the company.
