Our Hosted Exchange Entourage service is only available on a per user basis.

Exchange and Mac

 

Mac users with Exchange Server mailboxes can have a rich experience similar to that of Outlook on Windows PCs. There are some limitations, but for most users these aren’t a problem.

 

The Exchange Server clients for Mac OS X are Entourage 2004 and Entourage 2008.  It is important to have the latest OS X and Entourage patches installed; on release both versions had undesirable "features".

 

Entourage

Entourage 2004 or later is the recommended client for those users that would have Outlook if they used a Windows PC. Entourage uses WebDAV (normally over SSL) to connect to an Exchange Server, so some mailbox features are not available to Entourage.  What you get (but not limited to):

• Public folders

* 1. Folder permissions must be set in Outlook for users connecting over the internet; 2. Server side rules must be created in Outlook, or premium OWA.

 

Global Address Book

Entourage uses LDAP (Lightweight Directory Access Protocol) to look up names in a directory.  LDAP lookups from outside of a company or hosting network are normally blocked to maintain security.

Entourage functionality can be extended easily using scripts, including one to perform GAL lookups using OWA over the internet. It's simple to install and easy to use thanks to the readme file included in the download.
